Maya Cherins (she/her) is the Senior US Communications Assistant for the Guttmacher Institute, which she joined in 2023. In her role, she assists in the creation and dissemination of communications materials across the Institute and social media channels. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2022 with a BA in gender and women's studies and community and nonprofit leadership. Her background includes experience in advocacy for abortion rights and access, development work and communications strategy.
